This way we are in the position to ensure we cover the relevant topics
of football which have a fundamentally different approach to teaching and
the development of young players as they start to enjoy the football at
the mini-sided relaxed use of the F.A. rules to preparing youngsters working
towards the next level of 11 a-side football.
We currently have an Under 12 side that has moved through the mini-sided
aspect of football having played in the Horsham & District league, and
their history is detailed elsewhere on the site. The under 12's are involved
within our Soccer School curriculum and this will be expanded upon over
the coming months.
Preparations are currently being made to introduce the first of our new
mini-sided teams to play their first fixtures as friendlies before the end
of the season and entering a team into a league, as the School Coaching introduced
by the Club at St. John's School has reaped dividends in finding local talent.
The passing and movement of these young playersis a credit to them and it
is a pleasure to watch them move the ball around and along the ground without
reverting to the big kick to clear their lines.

With the aid of the services of 'Jack Traynor' it is hoped that these youngsters
will wish to develop and expand their knowledge of playing the game at this
level. Once again, we will utilise 'Jack Traynor' and his wisdom to make
comments on the player development and welcome any feedback from you to
improve us in the areas of technical expertise.
Having met with Mr. Gordon Taylor C.E.O of the Professional Footballers
Association last May, at the Birkbeck Centre London University, we were
respectful to his comments on the state of the technical abilities of the
young players we are all developing at our grass-roots level of the game.
Further details of the comments will be found on the coaching page of our
site.
